The group is the flagship venture of the Leela Worldwide group established by the visionary Mr. Komalkant F. Sharma in 2008. It’s the most prominent green ship recycling group at Alang, home to the world’s most extensive stretch of ship-recycling yards.

Yard 2, Yard 35 and Yard 84-D have received certifications of HKC Compliant from the certification authority, Class NK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai). Yard 35 has received the certification from Lloyd’s Register as well. Yard 1 has received certifications of HKC Compliant from the certification authority, IR Class (Indian Register of Shipping).
They are also certified as per ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 30000:2009 and ISO 45001:2018 standards by internationally acclaimed classification societies such as Lloyds’ Register, American Bureau of Shipping, Bureau Veritas and IR Class to promote sustainable ship recycling.
