Leela Worldwide, MRIDA, and Great Eastern CSR Foundation have joined hands to pursue the shared goal of achieving sustainable development in diverse fields in Alang, Bhavnagar, and Gujarat. To achieve this objective, the partnership will focus on four primary areas of development.
The first area being Education and Youth Empowerment, the collaboration will strive to provide quality education and empower the youth by executing various initiatives such as sports, co-curricular activities, digital infrastructure and facilities, health, as well as career counselling. Additionally, it will also lay special emphasis on the girl child and children of migrant workers.
Health and Environment is the second area of focus to promote a healthy environment and better healthcare facilities in the communities by executing various health and environmental interventions such as solid waste management, clean drinking water, rainwater harvesting, tree plantation, health baseline, and focused attention on parameters that the health baseline may throw up, etc.
The third area is Livelihoods and Women Empowerment under which the objective is to improve the livelihoods of communities, particularly women and rural youth, through various vocational training programs and financial literacy initiatives.
And the fourth pillar of development is Agriculture and Agri-interventions. The partnership will strive to promote sustainable agriculture practices and agri-interventions such as organic and natural farming methods in communities to ensure food security and improve farmers’ livelihoods.
As a result, Leela Worldwide, MRIDA, and Great Eastern CSR Foundation aim to create a positive impact on the communities they serve and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This partnership is a step towards ensuring sustainable and inclusive development for all and creating a better world for future generations. It is a testament to the commitment of the organisations to making a positive impact on the lives of communities and promoting sustainable development. The organisations are confident that through their collective efforts, they can make a significant difference and contribute towards a better future for all.
